Sunnyside features the community swimming pool with a large pool, a kiddy's pool, swimming lessons and open swim. Six lighted diamonds includes 2 little leagues, 1 pony league and 1 T-ball league, along with 1 fast pitch, slow pitch and a girls fast pitch diamond. Eight lighted tennis courts and 6 horseshoe pits also lighted.

Filling out the very popular park are 2 sand volleyball courts, 5 soccer fields and 2 little league football field. Winter sports include an ice rink and a man-made sledding hill. Sunnyside Park also includes a Community Room and several shelters for reunions and various activities. These shelters are usually rented a year in advance. Thee are also 3 small open shelters that are available on a first come bases.

There is over a mile of walking paths winding through the park and encompasses a wetland that is in progress of being developed into a nature area.

The crown jewel of Sunnyside is Jane's Park, a children's play ground built entirely by volunteers and donations in honor of Jane Sieg-Stillson.
